Building Department
Building, Electric, and Mechanical permits can be obtained on this website or at the
Almena Township Hall M-W-Th between 9am and 4 pm.
Kevin Cardiff, Building Inspector
Office Hours for Kevin: Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Almena Township Hall.
Applications and payment are received at the Antwerp Township Hall.
Checks must be made out to Antwerp Township.
Antwerp Township will mail your permits to you.

Mechanical Permits:
- Installation or alteration of mechanical equipment
- Furnace, A/C, or water heater installation or replacement
- Gas piping, duct work, exhaust fans/vents
- Generators
Plumbing Permits:
- Installation or alteration of plumbing equipment
Zoning Approvals:
- Placement of sheds less than 200 square feet in floor area
- Installation or construction of fences
- Placement of agricultural buildings and structures
- Home occupations
